Welcome to our homepage. We are the Gohlkes -- Dave, Nancy, Chris and Josh, a Texas family out sailing for a few years of adventure on Liberty, our Morgan Out Island 41' ketch. We left Galveston for a 6-month sailing sabbatical in 2005, and found we loved the slower life on the water. After much saving and preparation, we set sail on Sunday, February 3, 2008. Our current plan is to sail the Bahamas and US East Coast during 2008 and 2009, then head to the Caribbean in 2010.
