Welcome to our homepage. We are the Gohlkes -- Dave, Nancy, Chris and Josh, a Texas family out sailing for a few years of adventure on Liberty, our Morgan Out Island 41' ketch. We left Galveston for a 6-month sailing sabbatical in 2005, and found we loved the slower life on the water. After much saving and preparation, we set sail on Sunday, February 3, 2008. We've followed the Gulf Coast ICW, crossed the Gulf of Mexico to the Dry Tortugas, been to Key West, the Bahamas, and up the US East Coast as far as Boston. Currently we are in the Bahamas on our way to the Carribean.
